Abstract

Given the current challenges of the era of the new globalization, following the conceptual framework around the term soft power identified by J. Nye, the main purpose of this paper lies in the critical study of the African Union Agenda 2063, a plan for development based on the promotion of the common African values and the socioeconomic, political and cultural renaissance of the continent, in order to analyze the recognition of a growing.African soft power on the international board. To this end, attention is paid to the progress of its regional regulatory system, the defense of its political values, the processes of democratization and pacification within the region and the promotion of the African culture in view to analyze the soft power of the AU and its willingness to influence the preferences of third parties in international relations.
