Abstract

This study examines the Judgment of the CJEU of 30 April 2025 (delivered in Case C‐536/2023, Bundesrepublik Deutschland v. Mutua Madrileña Automovilista). Mutua Madrileña Automovilista) which resolves a question referred for a preliminary ruling in a dispute between the Federal Republic of Germany (FRG) and Mutua Madrileña Automovilista (MMA) concerning an action for compensation brought by that State against MMA in the exercise of subrogation in respect of the remuneration paid to one of its officials during his incapacity for work resulting from an accident involving a vehicle insured with that company
