Doctor by the Universidad de Salamanca with the thesis Sociedad y literatura en la producción homilética de la segunda mitad del Siglo XV la predicación de Juan López de Salamanca 2000. Supervised by Dr. Pedro Manuel Cátedra García.

I studied and got my doctorate in Salamanca with a thesis, supervised by Pedro Cátedra, on the preaching of Juan López de Salamanca. After 30 years as a high school teacher –and some as head of studies and director–, I am also an associate professor in the Department of Hispanic Literatures and Bibliography. I am currently interested in the history of reading in the Middle Ages and the Renaissance, the connection of peninsular women with literary production and the spiritual literature of the fifteenth century. I participate in the I+D+I project "The emergence of the Republic of letters in the Renaissance in Spain (Middle Ages and early Modern Ages)" directed by María Morrás; and I am part of the research group of the Faculty of Philology "Literature , Heterodoxy and Marginalization" co-directed by Santiago López-Ríos and Rebeca Sanmartín.
