Doctor by the Universidad de Extremadura with the thesis Arqueología de las primeras sociedades productoras en la cuenca extremeña del río tajo 2003. Supervised by Dr. Primitiva Bueno Ramírez.

I am an archaeologist specialized in Late Prehistory of Iberian peninsula and computing and quantitative techniques in Archaeology. My research focuses on various fields, such as the application of remote sensing methods in archaeological landscape analysis and the study of rock paintings using digital techniques. Currently, I work as an Associate Professor ("Profesor Titular" in Spanish) of Prehistory at the Complutense University of Madrid (Spain), having previously served as a tenured "Distinguished Researcher" and "Ramón y Cajal researcher" at the Spanish National Research Council (CSIC), among other academic roles. University teaching is one of the aspects of my job that I value the most. Among other subjects, I teach "Neolithic and Bronze Age Archaeology", "Landscape Archaeology", "Quantitative Archaeology", and "Archaeological Surveying and Drawing".
