Doctor by the Universidad Complutense de Madrid with the thesis El régimen de movilidad de los nacionales de terceros estados en la Unión Europea 2009. Supervised by Dr. Gil Carlos Rodríguez Iglesias.

Sara Iglesias is Professor of EU Law and Administrative Law at the Universidad Complutense of Madrid and academic coordinator at the UCM of the Bachelor of European Studies, joint degree coordinated by KU Leuven in the framework of the Una Europa alliance. She has been référendaire (law clerk) at the Court of Justice of the European Union, at the chambers of Advocate General Bobek and Advocate General Cruz Villain. She has also worked for the research directorate of the CJEU. Prior to that, she has been lecturer at the University of Cádiz, where she also coordinated a bilingual Master. Sara Iglesias holds a PhD in Law awarded by the University Complutense of Madrid, awarded with distinction and received the extraordinary PhD award at the UCM. She also holds an LL.M. by the Yale Law School and a B.A. in Political Science awarded by the UNED. She has been visiting researcher at the University of Luxembourg, the Max Planck Institute for International and Comparative Law, the Radboud University in the Netherlands and the Center of Research and Studies of the Hague Academy of International law and the LUISS University at Rome. She is member of the Editorial Board of the Common Market Law Review, and managing editor of the Revista General de Derecho Europeo.
