Carlos Carpena Torres holds a PhD in Optics, Optometry, and Vision from the Complutense University of Madrid, where he currently serves as an assistant professor in the Department of Optometry and Vision. He is the author of 28 scientific articles in peer-reviewed journals and has presented over 60 communications at national and international conferences. He has participated in 19 preclinical and clinical research projects, with notable contributions to 3 Horizon 2020 European projects. Additionally, he has conducted research stays in Portugal, at both the International Iberian Nanotechnology Laboratory and the University of Minho. His primary research focuses on the effect of the spectral composition of visible light on ocular physiology.
