Resumen

La administración estratégica es una disciplina relativamente joven que ha madurado constantemente durante los últimos cincuenta años. El campo se ha ido consolidando durante este período, al tiempo que amplía la gama de temas analizados y las metodologías de investigación utilizadas. Se han desarrollado diferentes teorías y enfoques, que abordan diferentes temas de investigación, para explicar las razones que subyacen a la ventaja competitiva y el éxito de las empresas. En este trabajo, postulamos la existencia de dos péndulos en constante movimiento que, por un lado, reflejan la tensión que históricamente ha existido entre el foco en los factores firmes internos y los atributos ambientales externos respectivamente y, por otro lado, la tensión entre un nivel de análisis más macro, es decir, la empresa y su entorno, y uno más micro, es decir, los individuos y sus relaciones dentro de la empresa.
