La virtualidad educativa del cine y el programa la escuela al cine

Zusammenfassung

The purpose of this investigation is to develop and promote cinema as one of the skills to educate, which is a theory already supported by the French film theorist Jean Mitry. In addition, it intends to highlight some aspects of this seventh art once applied in the Chilean educational system through the program called "La Escuela al Cine" that considers running cinema clubs for students at several schools. The thesis to be defended is the importance and real need of promoting cinema as a social phenomenon; as well as a methodological tool meant to be applied at the educational field, since once this is used, it fosters the development of human faculties such as the sensorial perception, creativity, imagination and the capability of recalling.
