Abstract
This doctoral thesis presents two differentiated investigations that approach the use of the new Information Communication Technology (ICT) phenomenon, and the sexuality amongst the juvenile population, as “the digital natives”. The first investigation includes the revision of the theories and previous models, as well as the existing precedent scales of relevancy, in order to obtain the proposal of an evaluation scale on addiction, problematic behavior and the pathological behavior, based on the DSM-5 disorders, through a creative process, which explains the behavioral origin, when a young person decides to connect on the internet to look for sex. The result obtained is a brief scale that provides the clinical information about the sexuality amongst the young Spanish people, when it is difficult to obtain through the classic procedures. The second investigation includes the search of a broad sample of men and women (1212 subjects, sample without debugging) to be able to obtain the representative data, and the scale has been applied to them. The results reveal that the scale is optimum to detect and do screening between the cases; it also reveals the existence of the sexual activity on the Internet, as of the age of 13, for both men and women; it informs us that the origins of the sexual behavior on Internet are different for men and women; and it shows the existence of the problematic and pathological cases within the child-juvenile population, amongst other results.
