Abstract

Since Branemark first study, osseointegrated dental implants made ofcommercially pure titanium have been used successfully to replace missingteeth. Nowadays, multiple brands of implants are available in the market. Somecompanies have developed their own implant connection. These originaldesigns have been incorporated in a number of competing companies that offerthe so called “clonical” or “compatible” connections.Compatible abutments are often used by clinicians.
