Résumé

Alabarderos Band originated in 1746 within the homonymous body that was created by the writer Gonzalo de Ayora in 1504 for the security of the Catholic King Fernando. Over time the musical group presents several changes of name, so, in the mid eighteenth becomes the band Guards Corps of the Queen. Some years later the body of Alabarderos is restored up to 1868, when it is dissolved at the start of the Revolutionary Presidential term and with it, his band. With the Alfonsina Restoration in 1875, Alabarderos Band was rebuilt with many of the previous teachers, until the next change of political regime took place in the spring of 1931, in which, after days of uncertainty about its disintegration as musical group, its continuity with the new name of Republican Band is decided. After the end of the Civil War, revived made up of new teachers with the name Regiment Band of the Head of State and Generalissimo of the Armies, which, inherited from the previous Republican Band, the musical archive, part of their instrumental and most official functions. With the beginning of the democratic period from 1975, the same musical background, with the same musicians and the same instrumental group, becomes part of the new Royal Guard, reaching today the reappointment of Music Unit Royal Guard. We can say that Alabarderos Band, Guards Corps of the Queen, National Republican, Regimental Headquarters of the State or of the Royal Guard, are a unique band with different names, always linked to the Head of State, which since its creation and with the exception of the Revolutionary Presidential term, he has endured over time until today. Having established its origin, instrumental group and teachers who composed it in 1746, it has served us this time to establish the first chronological limit with which starts this investigation, until the end of 1939 in ending the Civil War and with it our thesis on Alabarderos Band. This great chronological period covered has allowed us to observe the evolution of his instrumental template, interpreted repertoire, circulation teachers to other musical activities, and the creation of music school students. Very important was its contribution to the musical development during the Silver Age of Spanish culture, especially since the mid-1920s with a major highlight at the festival of military bands in the Paris of 1933, discussed in detail...
