Abstract

This thesis aim is to analyze the situation of Corporate Social Responsibility in the Food andAgriculture sector cooperatives in the region of Castilla and León (Spain), under the premise thatCorporate Social Responsibility has its origins in what are called "social organizations" within thecooperatives are included.The general aim of the thesis, previously exposed, is developed in four secondary aims thatcorrespond with the chapters of the thesis and shapes the different areas of study of the document.The secondary aims are under a theoretical approach and under an empirical approach. From atheoretical approach they are:1. Examination of the definition Corporate Social Responsibility in the managerialenvironment and its evolution.2. Analysis of the cooperatives characteristics and their structures such as social entities. Regarding to an empirical approach, another two aims appear:1. Descriptive analysis of the Food and Agriculture Cooperatives in Castilla and León.2.
