Las empresas químico-farmacéuticas alemanas en España (1879-1945)una visión desde el registro de patentes

Abstract

In this research we have analyzed the presence of the pharmaceutical industry of German capital in Spain, from his first manifestations, in the final decades of century XIX, to the years immediately previous to the conclusion of World War II; we study the process of creation of its branchs in Hispanic territory and the introduction of its technological innovations, in particular the related ones to the chemical synthesis, thro ugh the procedures patented in our country; finally we approached the consequences that, on the presence in Spain of the German pharmaceutical industry, it had of the second Great War: blockade and expropriation of the Germanic capital assets, as muc h of the filial companies as of the registered patents, a process that culminated in 1949.
