Resumen

Different interpolymer complexes (IPCs) of chitosan (CS) and carboxymethylcellulose sodium salt (CMC) were used to elaborate mini-matrices containing clarithromycin (CAM) to enhance the eradication of Helicobacter pylori. These mini-matrices were pla ced inside a hard gelatine capsule forming the final system (¿tablets-in-capsule¿), showing a controlled released of CAM within the stomach. IPCs and CAM were characterized by FTIR, DSC and powder X-ray (XRD, GID) to study the interactions among poly mers caused by a ionization process of their moieties. In vitro drug release, porosity and swelling/eroding properties were also performed at different pHs. The methods used for the analysis were suitable to evaluate the proposed objectives, and the bibliographic studies were actual and justify the obtained results. Furthermore, the results obtained from this research work are already published or submitted to different Pharmaceutical International Journals showing the relevance of the founding.
