Bases, modelos e indicadores de referencia urbana para la optimización sostenible de una ciudad móvil

This research tries to prove that the concept of city, focused so far on a common urban site, is wide and includes other kind of sailing cities. We‟ll call them mobile cities. These new cities, the cruises ships, sometimes have a standard of living higher than the one of many 5.000-or-more inhabitant towns. Every aspect of a town, from the social, environmental and urban planning point of view, has been studied by means of documents, survey data, official information, even traveling on several cruise ships. All of these aspects can be found in these new cities. This research is quantitative and qualitatively rich. Hundreds of data have been handled which, properly combined, show impressive results, such as the maximun relationship between the number of housing and the land occupancy area of a mobile city. Figures are similar to the analogous compulsory ones stated for convenctional cities in the Urban Land Planning of Madrid, written in 1997 and updated in 2017. Opinions of interviewed professionals also agree on syand by that cruise ships are mobile cities, and only very few deny the evidence. These private cities are successful due to a main reason: they are business, and this is supported by the survey answers and by the use of tag clouds, software tools for research that show a clear expositive image of representative domain words...
