Resumo

We are referring primarily to the master priority orientation towards the world of work, with a clear specialization in p rofessional contexts, not those of a purely academic or researcher. While it is true that none of the categories of these two types of masters are necessarily mutually exclusive from the rest in terms of duration and regulation. All masters are coupled, as an end in his teaching, the acquisition of advanced training, specialized or multidisciplinary in nature, aimed at academic or professional specialization, or to promote the introduction to research tasks. To do this, the university system provides for a clear consultation and participation in design and delivery within the same university and through its various Departments, Faculties or specialized centers. Today, the title of Master proposed in Spain within the European Higher Education Area (EHEA) has two types of targeting: Master-oriented research and academic Master Professional and either mixed or open the doors to the activity researcher. This is where doubts arise and it seems important to reflect on the effectiveness of the plan because of the vocational preparation is not always understood or appreciated by the Academic-industry research university that, at times, lives lost and far from reality practical, technical and methodological students need for future incorporation into the labor market in a highly specialized professional sector. Similarly, it should also consider the shortcomings that can have the career-oriented master when it comes to guidance to doctoral studies. And all this away from the previously so-called Masters who are nothing but titles of experts, now called Master, to be clearly distinguished from official master. We find ourselves with the eternal rivalry between theory and praxis and the election of university authorities for the management, organization and planning of the teaching of this class of degrees.
