Abstract
This article proposes a review of the figure of reader/receptor, locating it between the two extremes in which media critic has been developed since now. From the concept of receptor as a passive entity, to the new vision of cultural studies in which texts are polysemic and the reader is always able to interpret whatever he likes to, it is proposed a return to the reflections about how the problem continues to be how to conciliate the reader with the empirical model.
