Abstract
Politics always had to do with the looking act, the arrangement of the visible things and the symbolic universe of the image, that is to say, with images structured according to cultural imaginaries. These relations cannot be explained properly from a mediacentric theory, but from a theory of the interval spaces. The journalistic image, today, is frequently governed by moralizing and expresivists considerations strange to the democratic culture.
