Abstract

This paper analyzes the presence of children as topic for reflection in contemporary art. The work of some artists is used here like a thread to explore the idea of childhood from a perspective revealing the diverse aspects which might influence not only in his cultural construction, but also in the deconstruction of child iconography as a symbol with strong connotations in Western culture.
