Résumé

Although children are not entitled to vote, do have the right to express their voice and be heard in relation to decisions affecting their own life or the community where they live. The Convention on the Rights of the Child, adopted in 1989 by the UN General Assembly provides for the participation of children as one of the main rights, linked to the construction of the child's citizenship in order to elevate to the level of competent Member democratic society. Also in Spanish law, the right to participation, association and assembly is found in the Organic Law 1/1996, Legal Protection of Minors. The media have great potential as a channel for children's participation in public life. However, in the field of research, although there are many studies related to their use of the media done by children and the influence they have on children, we just research on production experiences of children as creators contents. In the next article, we report some of the conclusions reached by a study, set in the UNICEF program "Child Friendly Cities", related to collection efforts on child and youth participation media at the municipal level in Spain
