Résumé
Digital horror narrative. Stories for teenagers? Nowadays the horror films stories and their literary counterpart continue captivating the teen audience. The events happened in France in October of 2014 during the exhibition of the film horror called Annabelle (Annabelle, 2014), directed by John R. Leonetti, have made us put the focus on the study of the new film horror and how this kind of films continues being consumed by teenagers. The new horror film uses new technologies during shooting and recording and during exhibition. In a period when the abundance of information causes satiety for almost every cultural proposal, it’s remarkable how the horror stories keep causing reactions that seem from other times. We present an update of the concepts of filmic monsters opposite to the concept of literary monster. And how this literary monster in the new cinema has more relations with the world of comic books than with the Victorian novel reference. The retirement of the masters of horror film of the 1970s that have been frightened us more than thirty years leaves a void in the imaginary of the Hollywood scary movies. This have been tried to solve with remakes of “classic horrors” and with directors like James Wan, the new king of horror films. This paper makes a review of the actual horror film, the social phenomenon that causes and how the horror in media appears not only in the fictions, but in different areas in real life thanks to the magic of the digital tools
