Abstract

The project of the Madrid City Council presided by Manuela Carmena to remove the name of General Millán Astray street, founder of La legión and icon of the Francoist repression, has aroused numerous reactions both for and against. The project includes the change of the name of the fascist military by the one of Avenue of the Intelligence, in allusion to its infamous phrase. “Long live death, let intelligence die! How have the media treated these reactions? And, more specifically, how have they been treated on Twitter? Or, getting to the bottom of the question: How have users used the media in the social network to express their opinions? This is what proposes to study this work.
