Nursing degree students invest an important percentage of their formative activity in environments that are health-related and match the professional settings, in which exist a great number of factors that will be typical within a specific health field. This contexts provide them with an approach to individual and team-work scenarios in which the student will develop his skills and attitudes or, put it in another way, competences that will set up his personal and professional growth. This thesis´s aim is to explore in the Bandura Social-Cognitive Theory´s (1986-1987) framework and in the wellbeing models proposed by Lent (2004-2010), the social, cognitive and behavioral determinants that modulate the perception of the satisfaction of academic domain and the overall life´s satisfaction among Nursing Degree students within the specific context of their clinical practice, as well as to study how they relate to each other and to analyze the effects on both types of satisfaction, across the formulation, analysis and validation of a causal model in order to explain the relationships between them. For the present research we counted with a non-probabilistic incidental sample of second, third and fourth year Nursing Degree students from four different Spanish universities. The results of the study have allowed us to positively evaluate the global adjustment of the data to the hypothesized model through a causal-analysis technique and estimate the structural parameters corresponding to the proposed system within the study. The perfomed analysis asseverate that the proposed causal-model is consistent with the data coming from the research sample and that the relation system presented in the model can explain the study´s objective ,which is the students wellbeing. Likewise the proposed related system has allowed us to prove the manteined effects between the social-cognitive variables regarding the students´s academic and life satisfaction. Finally , this study has allowed us to base a set of proposals for action in order to improve the students´s formative process within the Practicum and their general wellbeing, since it brings a valid and reliable information that will help with the design and planning of future posible interventions.
