Abstract

The milestone that constitutes a new stage for Afghanistan took place in 2014. The completion of ISAF mission was a new step towards Afghan institutions self-management. However, rivalry between different ethical and political factions has not achieved national unity, which has had an impact on the effectiveness of armed forces and police. Taliban insurgency has taken advantage from this situation to continue its attacks and seek a position of strength towards forthcoming negotiations. Meanwhile the greatest damage relapses on civil population, which suffers conflict´s consequences, increasing displaced and refugees´ rate.
