Resum
Within the temporal expression of posteriority, the expression of the immediate posteriority has always been especially frequent due to the need to specify that two events are taking place in a consecutive way or very close in time. Many conjunctions and conjunctive phrases have been used since the origins them, like the medieval en que, or the adverb abés used with connective value, are no longer used; others, as apenas or luego que have remained, but with modifications to their old way of use; while others are of modern formation, as en cuanto or nada más + infinitive. The survival of ancient forms or the modern development of conjunctive phrases that do not reach a general expansion lead to typical uses in certain areas, or to different choices within the elements in common use, and draw a scheme of preferences of uses that have been historically forged in different areas.
