Abstract

Grammaticalization is creating morphemes from lexemes in constructions and specific discourse contexts, and also assigning new grammatical functions to already existing morphemes and syntactical constructions. Grammaticalization starts from collocation and finishes in lexicalization or entry into the lexicon. Therefore, a certification of the conclusion or persistence of grammaticalization and lexicalization processes is found in the grammatization (grammatisation in French, according to Auroux) of their results. Thus, grammaticalization, lexicalization and grammatization are interrelated processes and, at the same time, are strongly linked to linguistic historiography and the analysis of the extension of morphosyntactic changes in large linguistic corpora. We provide example with the interjection ¡Tijeretas!
