Abstract
This paper presents a quick survey of how economists have dealt with the problems of inequality. The paper emphasizes three specific subjects: inequality between nations, inequality between social classes and inequality between the sexes and races. The main conclussion is that government regulation and public expenditure is not the only way to reduce inequality and many economists have thought that the market is the best way to deal with this problem.
