Resumo
As opposedto the interpretations which sustain a mechanic socio-economic determination of political changes, the existence of an important autonomy in the economic and political spheres is maintained. This idea is explained by reconsidering the relation between entrepreneurs andpoliticians in four stages of our history: the crisisof the Restoration Monarchy (1909-1923), the dictatorship of Primo de Rivera (1923-1930) and the Second Republic (1931-1936), to finish with some brief conclusions concerning the changes under the dictatorship of Franco and the transition to democracy in the 70's.
