This work outlines the theoretical models as well as some of the empirical procedures that allow a scientific/professional approach to the wide range of tasks that a psychologist of the workplace normally assumes. All of it focuses on a key criterion, within the public and private limits, that has guided the observations, efforts and observations of differential psychology from its uncertain origins: efficiency through achievements. This criterion is alluded to in other contexts as if it were a psychological novelty, with a term as out-of-the-way as suggestive: �ecological validity
