Résumé

This article challenges the influence of placebo effects in the acceptance of evaluation and diagnosis reports by the subjects. After briefly introducing the subject and posing the hypothesis, the authors describe the method and the results of their research work. In the discussion they explain that this results suggest that diagnosis acceptance given by a professional is a general phenomenon independent from the personal characteristics of the subjects that get it, therefore questioning the personal validation phenomenon and, at the same time, interacting with certain professional characteristics of the subjects, linked to personality images to which they tend the most. Authors also analyse an important limitation to their work, the small size of the sample, and end by pointing out that it is the content of the report, more than the type of test or professionals, which seems to affect distinctively different professional groups.
