Résumé
The aim of this paper is to examine the proposals formulated by Carnap, Tarski and Quine for justifying the distinction between logical and nonlogical constants. In this examination I concentrate on two aspects, namely on the sense in which these proposals can be interpreted as embodying the topic-neutrality traditionally ascribed to logical constants and on the shortcomings of such proposals for justifying the distinction between logical and nonlogical constants.
