Abstract
Pupils' violence at educational establishments is cause for social concern at the moment. That's why it is especially important, before knowing the real impact of this phenomenon in our country, to revise the literature produced on this subject in different cultural environments. From the revision, two different perspectives emerge on violence at educational establishments: the sociological-pedagogical perspective and the psychosocial perspective. The first one is more statistical and remote from educational establishments, and it pays more attention to structural questions. The second one, has identified with precision an interactive dynamics between pupils which results in bullying each others, but this perspective lacks an analysis of the elements that go beyond the school field. Moreover, both perspectives leave out some kinds of violence, which leads us to the necessity of a global empirical and theoretical perspective to approach school violence
