Abstract

This study analysed memory through stories recalled under manipulation of cognitives variables in 6, 8 and 10 years old children. Based on Stein and Glenn�s story grammar three stories with different contents were designed. Each story had two endings, a happy one and a sad one. 108 children took part and their answers were analysed according to a mixed factorial design with two intersubject factors (age and sex) and three intrasubject factors (content, ending and grammatical categories). The results demonstrate the influence of the content both on the stories recalled and on the different endings presented.
