Abstract

This paper analizes the situation of the children that carry the fresh inoculated smallpox vaccine from Spain to America, just five years after the Jenner Discovery was made public. Carlos IV, king of Spain finances with public freasure a «Real Expedición Filantrópica». From Spain to America, carring numerous children, who, at the same time were carring on their arms, the fresh inoculated smallpox vaccine. This was, at that time, the XIX Century the only way to transport live vaccine.
