Resumen

The stratigraphical and sedimentogical study of the Rodanas Anticline, SE Iberian Ranges (Valencia Province,lSpain), allows to differentiate five lithostratigraphical units represented by sediments of Upper Permian Middle Triassic age. The three lower units, of alluvial origin, correspond to the Landete, Cañizar and Eslidal Fms, previously described as "Saxonian" and Buntsandstein facies by other authors in neighbouring areas. The upper two units are herein called "unidad mixta" and "unidad carbonática" and represent alluvial tolmarine transitional environments and a shallow marine carbonatic platform in Röt and Muschelkalk facies respectively. A correlation essay with Permian-Triassic sediments of neighbouring regions allows us to consider that the transition from the classical Permian-Triassic facies of the Iberian Ranges to the Levantino Balear domain is located few kilometres to the west of the La Rodana Anticline.
