Abstract
This work studies Dr. Marañon’s contribution to the scientific and technical vocabulary of the SpanishRoyal Academy (Real Academia Española, RAE), Dictionary. As a member of the Spanish Royal Aca-demy from 1932, Marañon sought to improve the Spanish scientific level also in the aspect analyzed here.For the study of this matter, Marañon’s concern in including these terms has been documented and theRAE Archives that conserve the evolution of the Dictionary’s voices through its various editions havebeen consulted.
