This paper analyses the sense and meaning of certain inscriptions done over some/several reliquary coming from Catalonia between 10"' and 12"' centuries. In order to carry out the analysis it has been essential the study of the historical context, from the importance of the cult of relies to their importance in the ceremony of consecration in temples, along with the assessment of writing as a way of social communication intended for a concrete purpose. This stems from a view of Epigraphy as a science that studies inscription in a historical and cultural context, which has an influence on it.
