Abstract
En este artículo se describe un modelo de teoría de respuesta al ítem no paramétrico -el modelo de Mokken-, elaboración probabilística de la escala determinista de Guttman. Se presentan los procedimientos para evaluar la escalabilidad y la fiabilidad dentro de este modelo. Para ejemplificar los cálculos y la utilidad del modelo para las escalas acumulativas de actitudes, se aplica el método a la construcción de una subescala de Reacciones Infantiles en la Adopción. Por último, se realiza un análisis crítico de las principales ventajas e inconvenientes del método.
