Resumo
The treatment of the cancer pain in the elderly patient presents several special characteristics due to their fragile homeostasis. Nevertheless, it is essential to know how to realize it in order to avoid the side effects that treatment can cause. It is studied the epidemiology, the effects of the age on the drug outcomes, pain assessment in the elder and their personalized pharmacological treatments, these knowledges are necessary to treat the elderly pain, usually so near to death.
