Resum

To respond to our colleagues' commentaries, we develop in further detail our criticism to the modular mind model and innate knowledge hypothesis (whose basic argument is that new forms cannot emerge from nothing or from inferior forms). We also clarify that our objection is not against modularity as a result of development, but as the explanation of the origin of knowledge. The (neo)constructivist alternative to account for the emergence of new forms through general, dynamic, and probabilistic developmental mechanisms is discussed.
