Resumen

El presente artículo se centra en una revisión sobre los instrumentos de evaluación existentes para ayudar a la detección de simulación del estrés postraumático y la depresión. Respecto al estrés postraumático, los instrumentos de evaluación que mayor evidencia empírica para la detección de simulación han aportado son el MMPI-2, el PAI, el SIRS, y el TSI, junto con medidas de la actividad psicofisiológica. Para la depresión, las pruebas de evaluación de rendimiento neurocognitivo y especialmente memoria, como el TOMM, son las más utilizadas. Se concluye que es necesario un mayor esfuerzo investigador para diseñar y desarrollar pruebas altamente específicas para la detección de simulación de síntomas de estrés postraumático y depresión.
