Zusammenfassung

From children and young immigrants perspective, the learning of a new language is more than a general communicative competence. Since they go to school, they also need to learn the language that transmits the curriculum and regulates educational practices. Thus, in the area of compulsory education we refer to Spanish or the L2 as the language of instruction (Li). This concept covers four separated scopes: the teachers� speech, the education curriculum, the use of the different skills in the classroom and the treatment of the curricular contents.
