Zusammenfassung

This essay analyzes the "use" of woman and of the medieval world in some contemporary works. The feminine characters chosen here - Cid's wife or Reyes Católicos' daughter - have been of great interest for different genres and ideologies during the last thirty years. This study takes into consideration the literary comeback of four remarkable women belonging to medieval society and who have been protagonists of successful works. Their success will be related to the historical genre and the history of women.
