Abstract

The principal aim of this study was to analyze the psychometric properties of the SCL-90-R. This scale, which is widely used in many clinical studies, is one of the most reliable and valid self report measures for the detection and assessment of psychopathological symptoms as well as the assessment of psychiatric cases. In light of the obtained results we conclude that the Spanish version of the SCL-90-R is a measure of adequate reliability and specificity for the assessment of psychiatric symptoms and cases.
