Abstract

Shift work and night work causes important problems in a high percentage of workers, nevertheless, there are individual differences in the tolerance to this work system. Numerous studies are centred in predicting the tolerance of the shift-work, as much in physiological parameters as psychological. All of these variables, there are two indicators like tolerance measurement: sleeping habits and the circadian typology. The objective of this study is to elaborate a Spanish version of two scales used in the assessment of morningness-eveningness and sleepng habits: the Composite Scale (CS, Smith 1989) and the Questionnaire of Circadian Typology (Folkard, Monk and Lobban, 1979).
