Abstract

The first part of this work carries out a review of what was fencing in Spain in its origins and the reasons for its structure. The second part is analyse the current status of the fencing: its present status as educational activity, and their relationship with the Institutions, Ministry of Education and legislation. This study is intended to show clearly the relevance of the teachers initiative in the development of education, not only in the practical aspect, but also in the development and progress of new educational proposals, which will have an impact on their classroom and centers, and they may extend to other institutions in the country improving the quality of teaching and the best training and retraining of teachers.
