Abstract
This article considers the concept of Death and its representation in Dante Alighieris work, as well as the evolution of these themes in other subsequent authors. Our perspective is the Theory of Imagery that will allow us to draw connections between literary works and the corresponding iconographic representations, its literary antecedents, and as a result, all of them from an anthropological Imagery in addition to some specific psychological projections. We also try to re- late works of the Trecento to other European texts from the Middle Ages, to complete the Imagery frame at this time.
