Abstract
The study of biological risks, harm caused to health, transmission mechanisms, percentage of people vaccinated and hygiene methods, are considered to be of great value to be able to find out present situation of a group of people exposed for reasons of employment to biological risks over a continuous period of time Duch as in the case of nursing staff on duty at Accident and Emergency at SUMMA (MADRID&E) 112. As a method of reference it was decided to adapt the one designed by the Committee for Safety and Hygiene in Valencia: "Biogaval Method". Following the study it was proved that if all preventative measures are used and priorities established then protection against the biological risk is eftective except in the case of microorganisms, the prevention of wich depends on global measures as in the case of Avian Flu.
