Abstract
The purpose of this work is to describe a sample of batterers condemned for gender violence by the Courts of the Region of Madrid during the 2009. The sample is made up of 138 men who are taking part in a psychological treatment program to overcome their problem of aggressiveness in intimate relations. The results indicate that most of the participants are between 29 and 39 years of age, they currently have a partner, primary studies, are from a low social class, are of Spanish nationality, and were condemned for a crime of physical violence towards their partner.
