Abstract
The present study shows the importance of the Biogeographical itinerary along the parks and botanical gardens for educational, social, cultural and tourist aims. They are located in the inner city, in the city centre, as well as in the urban centre, and in some occasions in rural-urban fringe. For this, several parks and gardens in Madrid have been chosen, as well as some key places of the periphery that show the different types of natural ecosystems of the Community of Madrid. These are examples of great utility for teaching & learning the Biogeographical science as living scenes.
